Ok so I woke up Christmas morning & told you not to worry that you didn't get me anything for Christmas all I wanted was for you to laugh for us. You have had little laughs here & there but not ones that lasted more then a few seconds. Well when we got home from spending the day with family daddy was getting you ready for bed & you were in such a good mood. You love to naked & have your diaper changed because you think it is the funniest thing. Well you gave us The Best Christmas Present Ever!!

Christmas

Christmas was so fantastic! We were able to go out to Papa & Cha Cha's house on Christmas Eve & have brunch with all of Daddy's siblings. We opened presents from all the Aunts & Uncles which it was cute to see the cute stuff you got. After that we headed back home so that we could go to Christmas services. It was such a great way to prepare for the special season.

Christmas Services

Christmas morning we woke up & read the Christmas story from the bible. It was awesome to put the whole day & why we celebrate into perspective. Then we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, you really loved the flame on the candle, it will be fun with you can blow it out next year. Then you opened your present from Mom & Dad. We got you a Little People Nativity set hoping that you can grow & play with it for years to come.

Then we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa's house where we had breakfast & you got more presents. You got some super cute clothes, jacket & adorable boots. You also got some fun toys like a little dog named Velvet that we programed with your favorite things & she says I love you Hallee, its so cute! It was so great to see the look on your face when you looked at the toys. Next year is going to be the best with you can open them up yourself. It was nice because your Great Grandparents from Arizona came down for Christmas so they were there to spend time with us. Your Great Grandma Patsy Jane just adores you, she walked around with you the whole time. I just love to see your friendship building, I just wish they lived closer.

Can't wait for those sweet little boots to fit!

After we headed over to Daddy's Uncle & Aunts house where his entire side of the family was. We had a great time hanging out with them since we don't see a lot of them too often. Papi & Cha Cha got you this great exersaucer for Christmas, you love it already, even tho your feet don't touch the ground quite yet. Also while we were there "Santa" Great Grandpa Bride came to visit. You got to sit on his lap which was so cute. He even brought you a candy cane, your favorite!

I heart candy canes!

All day you were so fantastic you let anyone hold you & you didn't want to nap cause of all of the excitement. As soon as we got in the car to come home you fell asleep, tired little girl. When we got home you ate & then slept for 7 hours!! You had such a fantastic day!

Week 11

Little Angel!

You are such a great little girl! You always want to be so happy even in the middle of crying because you are hungry you try to smile at us. Your dad makes you smile & giggle so much the two of you are such cute playmates. You have also stared to teethe this week which seems miserable for you. You can see two little swollen marks on your bottom gum. It is pretty early to be getting teeth but I guess your daddy got them really early too. You have been drooling so much that your new accessory is a bib. Also you constantly have your fingers in your mouth chewing on them. I wish I could help you with the pain but you are a trooper as always.

This week we went to see Santa! I was secretly hoping you would cry on his lap since I think those pictures are so cute but you were still cute as always on his lap. Don't worry I told Santa what you wanted for Christmas so don't worry he knows you want a BOB Jogger. :)

Alissa, Jenna & I did a little arts & crafts project with you kids this week. We decided to make little reindeer pictures out of your foot & hand prints. We had seen the idea on our friends fridge & figured they would be so cute with your little feet & hands. We did not really think through the fact that we can not tell you to flatten out your hand or hold still. It was quite fun getting the 3 of you to cooperate, but they still turned out cute!

We also went & looked at Christmas lights in our neighborhood. You really loved all of the lights you just kept staring at all of them. You are so funny you would only look at the lights that were across the street you did want to look at the ones right in front of you. Then I think you finally realized they were the same & were able to enjoy both.

We also got the privilege to play Mary, Joseph & baby Jesus in the live Nativity at our Christmas Eve services. It was cute being a part of such an important symbol of Christmas. There was this little girl that was probably 4 that was so excited to meet baby Jesus. Her parents called me over because she really really wanted her picture with Jesus. They just kept saying what a cute little boy, I didn't have the heart to tell them you were a little girl. Dad really wanted to shave his beard this week but insisted he had to wait because Joseph had a beard. We will see how much longer that beard lasts he has been growing it since a few weeks before you were born.

Thank you for being such a blessing to us Hallee. It is amazing to think that this time last year we were hoping that you would be here & you are. We thank God for allowing us to be your parents even though we don't feel worthy we are honored. We love you so much little girl!!

Merry Christmas

From our family to yours we pray that you truly enjoy this season & celebrating the birth of our Savior. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

Week 10

Little Miss!

This week we went & picked out our tree! I know you really don't know what is going on but I was SO excited to go as a family. Your dad is such a trooper because I always make him open like 5 trees before I pick the best one. I have to say that I think this years tree is beautiful & possibly my favorite one ever! We enjoyed decorating the tree with you & you loved to stare at the lights. We drank some hot chocolate & hung up all of our ornaments. It is such a funreminiscing time for us to remember each ornament. Since I was little my parents bought me a new ornament each year & your dads family did the same thing. So when your daddy & I started dating 11 Christmas' ago we started buying a new ornament together. So this year it was fun to add your first Christmas ornaments too!! I look forward to when you start picking out your own ornament & seeing what you love. There were like 3 Christmas' in a row that I bought a Eeyore ornament because he was my favorite. What will be your favorite?

You just LOVE to sit up. When ever you are on our lap you have to be sitting up or you like to have us pull you to a standing position and say "What a big girl!" You just smile so big. So this week we took out your bumbo to see if you would like to sit in that. Of course you do! You really like it if we sit you in front of the Christmas tree or the tv, you love the lights. You will sit in your chair for the longest time it is so cute. You even did some Christmas baking with mommy in the kitchen you your chair. One night your dad was sitting next to you on the floor while you were in your bumbo talking to you & you laughed so loud and long. I was standing in the door was to the living room & got to hear the whole thing. I am so glad that we were both home for that big laugh. You have done it a few times since then but not as often as I would love. I can't wait for you to laugh all of the time, there is nothing like a baby's giggle.

You are also the funniest sleeper! You LOVE to have the blanket against your face, thanks to Grandma. You also have to have the fuzzy blanket on your cheek when you sleep. If I would let you you would sleep like this everyday. I only let you sleep with the blanket all around you if I am sitting by you for safety reasons. When you are ready for a nap I can just put you on the fuzzy blanket & you are out! You sleep so peaceful, can you teach me how to do that?!?

This Sunday was our annual footy pajama day at student services. Every year we all were pajamas & then after services we stay & watch Elf. That is my all time favorite Christmas movie, I seriously watch it half a dozen times in December or more. You wore the cutest footy pajamas & they were perfect because it was raining like crazy outside so they kept you warm. Your cute little pink bear pj's remind me of the little boy from Where the Wild Things Are.

I love you so very much miss Hallee Jane, thank you for bring us so much joy.
