30 Weeks

Our Large Cabbage!

You are about 15.7 inches long now & you weigh almost 3 pounds, like a head of large cabbage. You are developing so quickly now, you are going to be here in 10 short weeks! Your dad & I just can't wait to hold you. There are days were we feel like 10 weeks is so far away and other times it feels like it will be tomorrow. You have been moving around a lot & it seems everyday you get a little bit higher on my belly. It is so much fun to be able to feel that you are defiantly getting bigger in there.

This weekend I had the privilege of helping throw Alissa & Wesley's baby shower. It was so much fun celebrating them & seeing all the love everyone has for them. She was totally blessed with so many gifts I think she is almost ready for his arrival. I am looking forward to meeting Wesley in a few weeks. The two of you are going to be great friends so soon!

Your grandma & aunt Emily came down this week to bring all kinds of wonderful stuff for you. Your grandma refinished this sweet little horse rocking chair & painted it pink. She also made you the CUTEST quilt, I kind of want to use it myself, you will just have to share it with me. Then one of my favorite parts is she brought pieces of your crib bedding that she is making! She is so talented even though she will not admit it. Your bedding is going to be SO adorable when its done I can't wait!! I am just amazed how much love & support we are getting from our family, we are all so lucky.

I have to admit that almost every night you wake me up when you are moving around & I lay there in the quite of our room & dream about you. I think about what you are going to look like will you have my dimples and freckles, your dad's lips, my eyelashes or your dad's nose? I just can't wait to see your sweet little face! Love you so much baby girl!

Love you,
Your mom

29 Weeks

Cute Butternut Squash!

You are growing fast now, this week you weigh about 2 1/2 pounds, like a butternut squash. Hallee you are over 15 inches long from head to heel, crazy! I truly can't wait for you to be here in my arms. Your daddy says that I totally have baby fever because I have to hold every baby we are around.

This weekend I was at church and during the worship music we were singing a wonderful Chris Tomlin song that has the word Hallelujah in it and I instantly saw your little name in there (minus one E). Hallelujah means an exclamation of praise to God & that is exactly what I do every time I think of you. I am SO excited to teach you about our God & see you sing Hallelujahs to Him!

Your Aunt Sarah, Caleb, Jason & your grandma came to visit. Your Auntie made you the cutest picture for your wall with owls & your name on it, you are going to love it! It was nice to be able to spend time catching up with them. They were so excited to see your room & how it is coming along. Which we actually painted this week! Your daddy was so excited that the minute we got home with the paint he was in there painting. The color is perfect and exactly what we were looking for! You are going to be one loved & spoiled little girl but it is okay since you are the first little girl.

Also, our friends Matt & Jenna had their little baby girl this week. Her name is Kara Joy & she is beautiful, it makes us so excited for your arrival. They are going to be amazing parents to sweet little Kara. We are all looking forward to watching you kids grow up together! Keep growing strong & healthy in there little one! Love you so very much!

Week 28

My Cute Cabbage!

Baby girl you already weigh 2 1/4 pounds, like a Chinese cabbage, and you are 14.8 inches long! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. We have officially entered the 3rd and final trimester, yippee!! That means that you will be here before we know it. We had another doctor's appointment this week & as always you are doing perfect. The doctor did scare me a little bit when she told me that I might start feeling some contractions off & on but don't worry about them. We now start seeing her every 2 weeks so she can keep an eye on both of us.

We also went to our hospital tour in the maternity ward where you will be delivered, it was so exciting! I have to say that the reality is finally starting to hit that you will not live in my belly forever. The great thing is that our hospital has a birthing suite so I will not be giving labor next to another mother. You dad & I are really please with the hospital we chose. We also attended our feeding class this week and that was a little overwhelming. I'm sure that it will all come natural once you are in my arms & hungry, at least I hope so!

Your uncle Daniel & Auntie Nicole came down to spend the weekend with us. It was so nice to hang out & relax with them. They brought us a really cute picture frame that I have put in your room & can't wait to put a picture of you in it! They love you SO very much & are excited for you to be here soon.

I want you to know that you have a wonderful daddy...these are the sweet notes he leaves me "You are beautiful & wonderful & I'm very proud to be your husband & to raise our daughter with you!" I hope you know that you are loved by your dad & I as well as so many other people. Psalms 139:14 says Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous. I have just in been in awe of how God is working in my belly to create you.

Love you sweetie!

Week 27

Big Cauliflower!

Little one you weigh 2 pounds this week like a head of cauliflower. I have to admit I don't like the taste of cauliflower but now I wish I did. You are 14 1/2 inches long I really can't believe that, except for when you are moving around & I can feel you reaching from one side of my belly to the other. Your crib & dresser arrived this week & are in your room ready. I now leave your bedroom door open so every time I walk by I can smile with excitement.

This week was the 4th of July & I love fireworks. We spent the day relaxing at the beach & having a BBQ with friends. We watched the fireworks from a cliff by our house & were able to see 5 different shows at once, it was wonderful! Tinkerbell did not enjoy the fireworks quite as much as us she just wanted to hide, it was sad. We did have good laughs with friends & spent much of the time dreaming about our kids on the way. All three of us are pregnant right now & next year we will be watching the beautiful show with our babies! This is such a fun & blessed journey to share with great friends.

This week your Dad was at HSM Summer Camp, we missed him SO very much. You did not move around quite as much this week because your daddy was not there to talk to you. You truly love the sound of his voice & get excited when he talks to you. Next year we will be able to attend camp with him which will be awesome. It is so nice that we are able to all do ministry together.

I feel like everything that I do anymore I think next time I do this my little girl will be here to share this with & that excites me. We love you so much little girl & feel extremely blessed that God has called us to be your parents.

I Love you!

Week 26

My English Cucumber!

Hallee you now weigh about a pound & two-thirds & measure 14 inches long from head to heel. That is the length of an English hothouse cucumber, I don't know what that is either. I enjoy eating regular cucumbers so hopefully they are just as delicious.

This week your dad & I were able to get away on a little vacation to Palm Springs. We went with a group of friends from student ministries. It is an annual trip they take us on to get away & relax & reconnect before the busy summer starts. I have to say it was really really hot but still extremely enjoyable. We spent most of our time at the pool, you & I just floated around on a raft to stay cool. I think you enjoyed the pool because you were moving around like crazy whenever my belly was in the water. We went & got pedicures (your dad got one too), ate a lot of delicious food & one night we went to the movies. We saw Toy Story 3 and it was really cute, I can't wait to let you watch all 3 of them, they are my favorite Pixar movies. All in all this trip was so much fun for you dad & I to reconnect, relax & come home refreshed. I'm excited that next year you will be there with us!

Little girl you have been moving SO much the last few weeks. I just love feeling you kick around, except when you decide to use my bladder as a trampoline :) Your daddy & I can just sit & watch my belly for hours. I think you already enjoy praying because you kick your dad's hand every night when we are praying. You are such a good baby already we are just so anxious to hold you in our arms. Love you so much sweetie!!

Week 25

My Big Rutabaga!

Little girl you are getting SO big! Head to heels you now measures about 13 1/2 inches. You weigh 1 1/2 pounds the average weight of a rutabaga. I have to admit that I have no clue what a rutabaga is. All I know is that our amazing God is creating you & doing miraculous things in my womb, so wonderful!

This week was Father's Day & we had the chance to celebrate the wonderful daddy you have. Your dad loves us both so much I am always amazed by him. Here are just a few ways he shows he loves us... he works so hard everyday to provide for us. He gets up every morning & makes our lunch. He massages my feet when I get home from work tired. He lets us go to sleep early because he wants us to get all the rest we need. He prays for us all the time & every night with his hand on my belly, that is my favorite. He gets so excited every Saturday night when we get to read about how much you have grown each week. He rubs lotion on my belly nightly to help me avoid being itchy while you stretch in there. He loves to talk to you & feel you moving around. He gets weepy whenever he thinks about you, don't tell him I told you. Your daddy is a great loving representation of what your heavenly father is like. I just adore him & can't wait to see your special relationship grow.

We have officially made our 2nd big purchase! We ordered your crib online as well as your dresser. They should both be arriving in the next 2 weeks. Your daddy & I are SO excited to put them together. Thank you grandpa & grandma Brook for the great gift, she is going to love it! We also spent some time this week registering for all the fun stuff we will need for your arrival! Your auntie Sarah was a huge help making sure we got all the right stuff. :) This was an extremely fun time dreaming about you sitting in your stroller, wearing those little socks, taking baths (hopefully you love the water like us) and playing in your swing.

Your dad & I are SO excited to share life with you Hallee. We love you more then you know!

Week 24

Cute Corn Cob!

You have gained about 4 ounces since last week & that puts almost 1 1/4 pounds. You are almost a foot long, the length of an ear of corn. This week has been so much fun because you have been extremely active. You have been moving around so much all week I become mesmerized just watching my belly twitch & roll. I have to say that you like to move the most when I'm trying to sleep...you little stinker! I don't mind when you wake me up a little bit before my alarm goes off because I get to just lay there & watch you roll around.

We went to the doctor again this week for our monthly check up. The doctor said you are doing great & growing prefectly in there. We got the chance to hear your heartbeat again and I have to say it is my favorite sound. There is nothing like hearing the sweet pitter patter of your heart first thing in the morning! I wish that I could take her doppler home with me & listen to it everyday.

Also this week we made our very first big purchase for you!! We bought a Dutailier glider/rocker for your room. Your dad & I were so excited to bring it home as soon as we got there I had to try it out. I sat in it for a few minutes just thinking of you. I can't belive that in only a few short months you will be in my arms in that chair. I look forward to those sweet moments we will spend together in that glider sleeping, laughing & reading together.

I love you so much baby girl!
