Week 15

My big Apple!

This week I have been sick, it is not fun. I came home from New Mexico with this awful cough and stuffy nose. It just does not want to go away. It is so sweet to see your dad worried about how this cold might be affecting you, his is such a wonderful dad! Let me tell you a little secret he is so excited about you that he almost cries thinking about you daily. I love that about him and he loves that I cry about everything.

This week I went to Disneyland with my friend Brittany and we had so much fun. We just walked around and went on a few little kid rides. I am so excited to take you there one day. Actually you will probably go there a million times before you can walk. Britt and I snacked a lot while we are there. It is fun going places with her because she likes to stop and get yummy snacks like a pickle, rootbeer float and other delicious snacks with me.

We have another doctors appointment coming up in a few weeks and Im really excitend to see how you are growing. Actually your dad and I have been taking trips to Babies R Us and Target just to walk thru the baby stuff and dream about you. You are really really loved!

Love,
Your Mother

Week 14

My cute Lemon!

This week you went on your first mission trip to New Mexico! We took almost 200 high school students to Shiprock, New Mexico. We spend spring break on a Navajo Indian Reservation and it is so much fun. We load all of the kids and leaders up on a 4 buses in the middle of the night and start our 16 hour bus ride. I made sure to sit close to the bathroom so I would not have to hop around everyone to get to my frequent visits. The bus ride there was great, it seemed to go by quickly. At our lunch stop Bekah, our great friend, and I snuck away to grab lunch at Cracker Barrell…it was delicious! You really liked it, I could tell, we will visit one when you are older.

While we were in Shiprock our village of students helped out at the church we actually stayed at last year when we were there. We re-painted the outside of the guest house, did some roofing, painted the baptismal room, cleaned everywhere, laid some carpet, and did some other miscellaneous work. Let me say that you and I did not do too much just to be safe I did not want to be around a lot of the paint chemicals and mold. So we were big cheerleaders and help get supplies that were needed, oh and also made sure everyone was drinking plenty of water.

One of the days we put on a local carnival for the people of Shiprock. It was so much fun to see all the kids playing games and dream of you being there one day. I can’t wait until we take you on a trip with us for the first time. I’m sure you are going to have such a huge heart for others and I look forward to seeing you serve.

Love love love you!

Week 13

My little Plum!

This week was Easter so it was nice to celebrate Christ’s resurrection and what that means to us. I can’t wait to share the story with you and see you hunt for Easter eggs. Actually I am really excited to see you in your cute little Easter outfit, you will look SO cute!

We went out to Chino Hills to have dinner with your dad’s family since your Aunt Mel & Uncle Adam are moving to Oklahoma this week. We are sad that they are leaving but really excited to see what God does in their marriage & ministry in the coming year.

Your grandma, grandpa, Aunt Emily & great-grandma came to Easter service with us at Saddleback. We had a huge celebration for our 30th anniversary and services were held at Angel Stadium, it was so much fun. When we got home from lunch with the family we had a really long earthquake. I’m sure you did not feel anything but it was one of the longest ones we have ever had.

Love you!

Week 12

My sweet Lime!

This week we had another ultrasound and it was AMAZING!! You were moving around so much and then decided to fall right to sleep. The doctor had me trying to wake you up by moving and coughing and you would just roll over and go back to sleep. It was so much fun and I love that your dad was there with me. We now have many pictures of you around the house.

We also got to tell everyone at church that you are coming. It was so exciting to see how excited all the students are to meet you. Let me tell you, they are lined up to babysit you! The way we told all of the students is after the message we played a game. I spoke in Wildside and did the game in there and your daddy spoke in HSM and played the game in there. We played a true or false celebrity game and the last question was Is Kristin going to have a baby in October? True or False. They all got it right away and were so excited! I can’t wait for you to meet all of these wonderful students and be a part of the ministry we love so much.

All my love,
Mommy

Week 11

My little Fig!!

All I have wanted to call you all week is a little Fig Newton!! I have officially started showing this week…it is so crazy! Your dad just loves that I have a little baby bump. He just can’t stop rubbing my belly and talking to you, I love seeing those sweet moments. I think sometimes he forgets that I can hear what he is saying and that he is just talking to you, so cute!

Next week we have another doctor’s appointment and we get to see you again. We are so excited to hear your heart and see your sweet little profile. Your daddy keeps asking me when we can find out if you are a little boy or girl. I keep telling him that we have a few more weeks. Today your dad came home with your first pair of little rainbow sandals, they are precious!

Love you more then you know!

Week 10

My Cute Kumquat!

We had a great relaxing weekend with all of the Ministry Staff Wives. I spent three days relaxing and much of that time talking about babies. Most of the women there have just had kids or are pregnant right now so I was able to dream with them. It was so sweet to hear all of their stories of their kids and thinking of how you will be. I just can’t wait to sit around the table with them next year and share all the cute things you have been doing.

I also have been feeling SO much better this week. I am hoping this is the new trend and that I can start eating better. Your dad missed us even though we were only gone for 2 days. He is going to be a wonderful daddy to you. I have really enjoyed seeing him grow into this fatherly role. You are going to be a lucky little one.

Love you so much!

Week 9

My Little Grape!

This week was your Grandma Brook’s birthday so we went on a fun dinner cruise with all of your aunt’s & uncles. I have been feeling sick the last week so I was a little nervous about being on a ship with all the motion. You did great, it was fun to see your grandma let loose and enjoy her 50th birthday. She is SO excited to meet you, she loves to talk to my belly. Your grandpa says she uses my belly button as a microphone.

It was also your Grandpa McCoy’s birthday so we had dinner with that side of your family as well. We went to your grandpa’s sisters house for dinner and they we so excited to see us. They are so encouraging and love you so much. My aunt Debbie had made me this cute little burp cloth with little feet prints on them. I can’t believe you little feet will be that small. I just want to hold you, hurry up and be October already!

Love you baby!
