Week 16

Hallee Jane!

This week was very special your father & I dedicated you God on Sunday. That means that we are vowing to raise you in a Godly household. We will pray for you & we will pray with you. That we will teach you about the Lord & his grace & love for you. This was such a great ceremony for us to be a part of. The fun part was that our entire family & friends were able to be there to celebrate with us. Also, all of our friends that just had their kids dedicated their little ones too. So you were up there with Kara, Wesley & Eva it was so sweet. Please hold me accountable to be a Godly women you can model after as well as a loving & gracious parent. I give you permission to tell me when I'm not seeking His will for your life or myself. I want nothing more then to point you to Christ daily. I know that I'm human & will fall short so please offer me grace as well.
Proud Parents
You have now graduated to putting your feet in your mouth. It is partly my fault because I would show you that they can make it there. Now anytime we change your diaper we have battle with you putting your feet down. It is rather funny that you suck on your big toe like it is your pacifier. Your other new favorite thins is making spit noises. We were sitting on the bed & I made the raspberry noise for you & you immediately copied me. You think it is so funny & do it all the time, your shirt is always slobbery now. You just make me smile!!

Little girl you are growing up quicker then I like. I am learning to embrace every new stage, trick & smile you have. I promise I will not live in the past of what you were last week but enjoy today & what you love today. Love you baby girl!

Week 15

You are so funny, you really want to be a big girl so bad! You try to mimic us all the time it is so cute. I swear you say momma when you cry but I know it is just you making noises, but I will count it!

The nice thing about heading into this week was your dad was gone at a high school retreat over the weekend so I had you all to my self for 3 days. This made the fact that I had to work an entire week, 4 days straight, a little easier. I miss you so much while I'm at work, I have to look at your picture a million times. I call your dad when I go on lunch so that I can talk to you. I know that is probably so silly but you smile at the phone so you really do hear me. The next few months until I get to go part time are going to be rough but we will make it work.

I have also been sick since the day before I went back to work, go figure. I am sure it is the stress of knowing I would be working & that it is flu season. I am just glad that you have not gotten it because it is no fun. Your dad has been taking care of me so hopefully it will be gone soon.

You are becoming so engaged lately. You are just like me & that you love to watch people & the tv. You have found your feet this week so that is all you do while you watch tv. At first it was just your right foot & now you have found both. It is funny because you will grab both & just rock back & forth on the floor. You have also become super talkative, you really never stop chatting. You will just sit in your bumbo & talk to your toys or tv. You really like to sit out our lap & talk to us, I just wish that I could understand what you were saying! I keep telling your dad that we need a translation collar like they have in the movie Up. Your little voice is so sweet sounding I could talk to you all day.

Please know that we love you so much & if ever doubt our love just ask. You are God's beautiful masterpiece & my hope is that you will never forget that. Love you Hallee.

Week 14

My Love Bug!

I still can not believe how fast you are growing up. You are such a joy & truly add so much to our little family. There is not a day that goes by where your dad & I thank God for you. I truly feel like you are the little daughter we prayed for. We wanted a baby that would love to be around other so that life in ministry would be fun for you. Well you for sure love to be around other, you seem to prefer it unless you want to sleep. I feel like I can take you anywhere & you will find something that entertains you. Thank you for being such a good little girl!

The time I have been dreading is finally here...I had to go back to work this week. Luckily I only worked 1 day & then had the weekend to adjust. I cried the night before as your bed time came near. I just knew that when you woke up in the morning I would have to leave. I got up that morning nursed you, kissed you a million times & told you to be a good girl for daddy. As soon as I closed the door & was so sad to leave you for the day. Your sweet daddy brought you to visit me on my lunch & you were so cute. The two of you had such a fun time hanging out together, you did not even notice I was gone. I think the transition is going to be really hard for all 3 of us but we will get thru it. I just keep telling myself thankfully you are not in a day care.

This week you started to roll over from your belly to your back. You do not enjoy tummy time so as soon as we put you on your tummy you roll over. When you do not roll right over you are scooting forward, you are going to crawl before we know it. We have noticed that you really like to be encouraged & praised so when you are on your stomach we have to get to your level & tell you what a big girl you are. You love for us to tell you how proud we are of you, it is so cute!

We were also able to spend a day at Disneyland with daddy. It was so much fun for him to see your amazement of the lights & people around the park. He is so extremely cute with you, you really do own his heart! We love you so much little girl, I pray that you continue to grow into the wonderful Godly woman I know you are going to be.

Week 13

You are growing up so fast. This week you turned 3 months old & I'm in total denial how fast it is all going by. It has only been 3 months but I really can't remember my life with out you in it. Your smile melts my heart every time you look at me. You smile with your mouth open most of the time & it is so sweet. Your daddy looks at you & you smile every time. I just love to see the relationship the two of you have it is so sweet. I just imagine that is how my relationship with my daddy was since I was such a daddy's girl.

This week you started sleeping in your crib in your own room. It was such a bitter sweet moment for us because I will hopefully start sleeping better, but it means you are growing up. The first night I nursed you & then took you in your room & you went right to sleep. I then went back in our room & watched you on the monitor & could not help but cry. It was such a sweet moment to watch you sleep but also sad to think you will not be sleeping in our room anymore. I'm sure there will be a time when you are scared of the monsters under your bed or just want to cuddle. I can't wait for those days.

I have been dreading going back to work & that time has come. I go back to work next week & I already miss you so much. We are so blessed that your daddy has a wonderful job where he can take you into work or work from home so as of right now you will not need to go to a daycare. That makes the transition back to work a little easier. I am excited that the two of you will be spending more time together, a little jealous too!

We love you more then you will ever know Hallee. Thank you for adding so much to our family.

Disney again...

So it has become our weekly tradition to journey to Disneyland & I love that. Hopefully when I go back to work next week we can still keep it up on my day off. Today you met your first Disney character Jessie from Toy Story, my favorite Pixar movie. I can't wait until you are big enough to be in the picture by yourself I feel a little too old to be taking pics with disney characters. :)

Week 12

Pumpkin Girl!

You have been laughing so much more lately. I with that I could make your giggle my ring tone because there is nothing like the innocent sound of a baby's laugh. You also just love to smile at everyone, it is so cute! Your favorite place to be is outside or at least out and about. I think you just love to see all the new things around you. You constantly want to look around & see whats going on.

This week our great friends the Tisor's came to visit, which we have been counting down the days for. They are in town for a few weeks from Minnesota so I sure we will see them as much as possible. This was our first time meeting little Asher & he is so sweet. The two of you were so cute together, he just wanted to play with you. We would let the two of you get close together & you would just stare at him & he would just grab at you. I think there were a few times he wanted to eat your hands but we will just say that he was giving you kisses. :) The Tisor's are those friends you pick right back up where you left off like you saw them last week. They are such amazing friends I pray that some day we will live close again.

It was also New Year's this week which seemed so crazy to me. We spent the evening with some great friends playing games & having delicious waffles! You were having so much fun you refused to go to sleep. You stayed up until midnight!! I could not believe you made it that long. As soon as we got in the car you were out & slept for 8 hours, you little party animal! It was so fun to reflect over the last year & all that we have gone through. It seems like this whole year was transitioning into baby mode & I love it. It is kind of sad that the year you were conceived, grow & born is gone but we celebrate what God is going to do in 2011. 2010 was my favorite year of life so far for so many reasons. Your dad & I shared so many special moments & grew so much this year it will be one we never forget. A few of my most memorable moments of 2010 were...#1. The day we found out you were coming #2. Telling our parents they were going to be grandparents #3. Opening the bins to see pink balloons fly out #4. October 3rd the day we dreamed about for 40 weeks #5. Your laugh, your smell, your smile, your eyes...YOU!

Our New Years Baby!

Grandma & Grandpa came to visit this weekend & it was such a beautiful day. We took a walk down on the pier & came across this beautiful pelican. He was so friendly he just wanted to have his picture taken, he kept posing for us. It was fun to see one that close up.

Hallee Jane I can't wait to be here a year from now & see how much you have changed. In the same breath I want this year to go by slow so that we can cherish every moment. I want to learn to enjoy today more & thank God for what he is doing in our little family. I pray that our 2011 be filled with so much joy & celebration. Love you sweetie!
